Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, noting that it was the first time in 41 years that an Indian Prime Minister had visited Austria, highlighted this historic and important meeting. Modi said that during the meeting with his Austrian counterpart, they discussed areas of cooperation between the two countries and developments in Ukraine.

Modi said, “Problems cannot be solved through war, and it is unacceptable for innocent people to lose their lives” and stressed the importance of diplomacy and dialogue to ensure peace and stability. He expressed that India and Austria are ready to mobilize all means for this purpose.
