Phone Conversation on Türkiye-Azerbaijan Relations
According to the statement made by the Directorate of Communications, our President, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, had an important telephone conversation with the President of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev. During this meeting, current issues regarding regional and global developments, as well as bilateral relations between Türkiye and Azerbaijan, were discussed in detail.
During the meeting, Azerbaijani President Aliyev expressed his wishes for a speedy recovery due to the forest fires in Turkey. Aliyev emphasized that Azerbaijan is ready to provide all kinds of support to the Turkish people in this difficult process. In this context, he stated that the necessary steps were taken to send a fire-fighting aircraft to Turkey in order to contribute to fire-fighting efforts.
President Erdoğan thanked the Azerbaijani people for their kind support and stated that the brotherhood between the two countries has become even stronger in such difficult days. Erdoğan stated that Turkey always stands by Azerbaijan and touched upon the importance of the solidarity of the two countries.
After the meeting, it was stated that both leaders showed determination to further deepen the relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan and will continue to work on joint projects.
