Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, in a post on his social media account, praised President Erdoğan after meeting with him at the NATO 75th Anniversary Commemoration Event held in Washington, the capital of the United States.
Orban, who called his visits to Ukraine, Russia and China “peace missions” after his country assumed the presidency of the European Union (EU), stated that he continued this mission during his contacts in Washington.
Orban stressed that during his meeting with Erdoğan, they discussed the brutal war in Ukraine and that initiatives should be taken for peace.

“The Turks proved to be an indispensable actor in ensuring peace during the war”Orban, who used the expression, “President Erdoğan is the only successful statesman who was able to conclude a grain agreement between Russia and Ukraine in the Black Sea. I asked the President to support the peace mission we are carrying out”said.
Orban stated that the warring parties may be distant from each other, but if the friends of peace join forces, they can take steps towards peace together.
President Erdoğan met with Hungarian Prime Minister Orban in Washington yesterday as part of the NATO Heads of State and Government Summit.
