United Nations (UN) Humanitarian Coordinator Sigrid Kaag drew attention to the dimensions of the humanitarian crisis in Gaza. Kaag stated that 1.9 million people were displaced in the region and that urgent aid was needed. She emphasized that Palestinian civilians in Gaza were facing a painful situation.
The Failure of the International Community
United Nations rapporteur Cecilia Bailliet stated that despite the demands of young people around the world for a ceasefire in Gaza, the international community has been inadequate. Bailliet stated that the international community has failed to achieve peace and drew attention to the trauma experienced by young people and children.
Attack on Those Trying to Return Home
At least four people were reported killed and 17 injured in Israel’s attack on Palestinians trying to return to their homes in the Shujaiyah district of Gaza. It was reported that ambulances were not allowed to enter the area after the attack.
Iran’s Statement on Support for Hezbollah
In a statement made by Iran, it was stated that they will support Hezbollah militarily against Israel. Kamal Kharrazi, one of the advisors of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, announced that they will support Hezbollah in the event of a large-scale war starting in Lebanon.

The head of Iran’s Strategic Council for Foreign Relations, Kharrazi, warned that a conflict in Lebanon could lead to a regional war involving all Arab countries. It was reported that Israel was strengthening its preparations for a war with Hezbollah.

The Israeli army reportedly killed senior Hezbollah commander Mohammed Nimah Nasser in an airstrike on the Lebanese city of Tyre, and Hezbollah responded by firing 100 rockets into Israel.
