The U-17 European Wrestling Championship held in Novi Sad, Serbia, ended with the Turkish National Team coming in third. This success, achieved as a result of tough competition, created great joy in the Turkish wrestling community.
Afyonkarahisar TOHM athletes also achieved significant success in the championship. Buğra Kavak (45 kg) came in second in Europe, while Fatih Aydın (71 kg) came in third in Europe and proudly carried the Turkish flag.
Afyonkarahisar Youth and Sports Provincial Director İsmail Hakkı Kasapoğlu stated that they are at the top of the wrestling branch in Turkey and said, “These achievements of our athletes and coaches in the U-17 National Wrestling Team made us proud. We achieved good results in both the women’s and men’s categories. I congratulate all our athletes and coaches who contributed.”
