Galatasaray’s Transfer Studies and Spending Limit Problem
Galatasaray, who are continuing their transfer work for the new season, have faced the problem of spending limits in this process. When the spending limit determined by the Turkish Football Federation fell to 1 million euros for the red-yellow team, they had to turn to player sales in order to overcome this situation.
In addition to the football team’s expenses of nearly 90 million euros, Galatasaray, which paid a signing fee of 3 million euros to Batshuayi, also spent a total of 27 million euros on the transfer fees of Sara and Jelert. This situation seems to ease a little with the departure of Wilfried Zaha.
After the negotiations that started with Crystal Palace, the red-yellows, who also sold at the table with Leicester City, aiming to obtain a rental fee of 9 million euros by assuming Zaha’s fee of 8.8 million euros. Galatasaray, who plans to increase their limits with Zaha, aims to make reinforcements to the left back and attacking line with this income.
In addition, Galatasaray wants to make another significant income item by passing the play-off round in the Champions League and completely open their spending limits. If they eliminate Young Boys, they will have the chance to earn 18 million euros in participation fee and more than 15 million euros in Value Pillar income.
Galatasaray, who lost Fred and Szymanski to Fenerbahçe last season due to the spending limit, transferred Davinson Sanchez for 9.5 million euros after guaranteeing their participation in the Champions League this season.
