Forest Fires in Muğla and Aydın Under Control
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı announced that the forest fires in Muğla and Aydın provinces were brought under control. Minister Yumaklı thanked the forest heroes for their devoted efforts in combating the forest fires.
The forest fires that started yesterday in Aydın’s Söke district and Muğla’s Milas district were brought under control thanks to the intensive intervention of the teams. Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı thanked the Muğla Forestry Regional Directorate teams in a post he shared on social media and conveyed his get well wishes to the citizens affected by the fire.
Minister Yumaklı shared in his post: “The forest fires in the Söke district of Aydın and the Milas district of Muğla were brought under control with effective interventions from the air and land. Our cooling efforts continue. I would like to thank our Forest Heroes who worked selflessly. I extend my best “Wishes to all our citizens affected by the fire.”He used the expressions.
Forest Fire in Milas
The fire that broke out in a forest area in the Sekköy Neighborhood between Milas and Ören continued after the air intervention ended after dark. The fire was intervened from the air with 8 helicopters and 4 planes. With the darkening of the sky, the air force was disabled and ground teams continued to fight the flames throughout the night. The forest fires in Milas were successfully brought under control as a result of interventions from land and air.
Fire in Aydin Under Control
The fire that broke out yesterday in Germencik district spread to the upper parts of Argavlı Neighborhood in Söke district. The flames that continued throughout the night were fought from both air and land. Due to the mountainous and steep terrain, ground teams fought by opening roads with construction equipment in some places. Some workplaces on the Aydın-Söke highway were evacuated and citizens affected by the smoke were treated in ambulances in the region.
