Citizens who noticed the fire quickly reported the situation to the 112 Emergency Call Center. Following the report, numerous water trucks, fire crews, helicopters and first response vehicles were dispatched to the area.
The firefighting efforts are being led by the Kahramanmaraş Forestry Regional Directorate and the Metropolitan Municipality fire brigade. The gendarmerie, locals and AFAD Provincial Directorate search and rescue teams are also providing support.
