Fire Extinguishing Works
Gendarmerie Sikorsky helicopters quickly deployed gendarmerie special operations and gendarmerie security commando teams and Forest Management Directorate personnel to combat the fire in the area. An S-70 multi-purpose firefighting helicopter from Diyarbakır Air Group Command belonging to the Gendarmerie General Command is also providing air support to the extinguishing efforts, which continue throughout the night.
It was reported that the fire was surrounded and brought under control, and cooling efforts are ongoing. In this context, the dedicated work of the teams and the support of modern aircraft play a critical role in preventing the fire from growing.
