A fire broke out on the 3rd floor of a 6-storey building in the Balaç Neighbourhood of Samsun’s Atakum district. The fire occurred at 05:45 in the morning. Following the incident, fire, police and ambulance teams were quickly dispatched to the scene.
While the cause of the fire has not yet been determined, Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department teams quickly intervened, brought the fire under control and extinguished it. While there were no casualties or injuries during the fire, citizens in other apartments were harmed by the effects of the smoke.
Following the incident, police teams launched a detailed investigation, while work continues on the cause of the fire. It was reported that there was brief panic and fear in the region due to the fire.
