Extension of Petroleum Operating Licenses in Adıyaman
The General Directorate of Mining and Petroleum Affairs of the Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources made an important decision regarding the oil operating licenses in Adıyaman. This decision was published in the Official Gazette and is considered an important step towards the activities of the Turkish Petroleum Corporation (TPAO).
According to the decision, the term of TPAO’s oil operating licenses in Adıyaman has been extended by taking into account the following criteria:
- Current reserve status of the field
- Annual production quantities
- Investment and production program
In this context, the terms of petroleum operating licenses with three different sheet numbers have been extended:

This regulation is expected to make significant contributions to oil production activities in Adıyaman.In addition, these extensions provide a great opportunity for TPAO to continue its investments and use the energy resources in the region more efficiently.
