Diyanet Summer Quran Courses Period Ended

The Summer Quran Courses organized by the Presidency of Religious Affairs during every summer vacation provided many children and young people with educational opportunities this year as well. Providing information about the courses in Istanbul, Ayşe Coşkun stated that Quran education was provided in mosques, youth centers and Quran courses within the scope of the courses that started on July 1. She stated that in regions where demand was high, additional classes were opened in schools

Coşkun stated that there is a lot of interest in the Summer Quran Courses in Istanbul, “We had 250 thousand day students this summer in our 4,300 courses, from the age of 4 to 22.”He also stated that the boarding courses, which were held in two terms, were opened in 67 centers and 4,500 students were receiving education in these centers. Coskun, “Approximately 4,500 teachers provided training, 4,300 of whom were in daytime courses.”He spoke as follows.

Coşkun emphasized that the curriculum includes not only Quran education but also important subjects such as faith, worship, morality and biography lessons, and noted that many social activities are organized for the students.
