Led by civil society organizations in Morocco, the Moroccan people gathered in Casablanca to hold a demonstration of support. The demonstrators condemned the support provided by the US to Israel and emphasized that the US was complicit in Israel’s human rights violations in Gaza.
The demonstrators chanted slogans against Israel and the US, demanding that the Washington administration end the support given to Tel Aviv. They expressed their support for the Palestinian people with slogans such as “Palestine is a trust, normalization is a betrayal”, “All free people, no to Zionists and the US”, and “Long live Palestine, long live Gaza”.
It was reported that at least 39,258 Palestinians were martyred and 90,589 people were injured in Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip since October 7. It was shared that thousands of people were under the rubble and that the attacks also targeted civilian infrastructure.
