Urban Transformation Process Started in Küçükçekmece
Demolition of a 5-storey building has started within the scope of urban transformation on Halkalı Street in Küçükçekmece İnönü District. During the demolition process, it was discovered that walls were missing on the 2nd floor of an adjacent 2-storey building. It was understood that in a part of this floor, which was operated as a cafe, no walls were built during the construction process and a decorative coating was made with plasterboard on the wall of the 5-storey building. It is claimed that during the demolition, cracks also occurred in the walls of another building.
‘There was a collapse in the wall during demolition’
Cafe owner Murat Yalçınkaya explained what happened as follows: “The kitchen and bar section were seriously damaged during the demolition. In fact, we had decorative sections made of plasterboard, not our walls. During the demolition, a collapse occurred on the wall due to These plasterboards were injured at that time. However, there was also an explosion in the front hall, but some of this damage would be covered. some will not be covered. “Also, there was a pipe burst in the toilet area, but they solved it. Still, we have a serious financial loss and customer loss in our business. We do not know what the losses we have experienced during the past period will be. “We will determine the issues we need to complain to the municipality and take the necessary action.”
