According to the weekly bulletin data published by the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK), the banking sector’s credit volume increased by 35 billion 294 million lira as of July 5. Total credit volume increased from 13 trillion 803 billion 205 million lira to 13 trillion 838 billion 499 million lira.

Total deposits in the banking sector decreased by 248 billion 431 million lira compared to the previous week and fell to 16 trillion 198 billion 904 million lira.

Consumer Loans Details

The total amount of consumer loans increased by 1 billion 189 million liras as of July 5, reaching 1 trillion 727 billion 574 million liras. Of this amount, 447 billion 409 million liras are housing loans, 89 billion 948 million liras are vehicle loans, and 1 trillion 190 billion 218 million liras are consumer loans.

In the same period, the amount of commercial installation loans increased by 3 billion lira to 1 trillion 713 billion 2 million lira. Individual credit card receivers decreased by 0.1 percent to 1 trillion 466 billion 931 million lira. 513 billion 437 million lira of credit card receivers consist of installation debts and 953 billion 494 million lira consist of non-installment debts.

In the banking sector, receipts under follow-up increased by 2 billion 435 million liras to 218 billion 534 million liras. Special provisions were set aside for 171 billion 463 million liras of this amount. The legal equity capital of the banking system increased by 5 billion 571 million liras to 2 trillion 982 billion 455 million liras.

Compared to last week, KKMB balance decreased by 1.1 percent and 22 billion 909 million liras to 1 trillion 991 billion 545 million liras.
