As of Monday, July 1, a new era will begin for contactless payments with credit cards without entering a password. In the letter sent to banks by the Banking Regulation and Supervision Agency (BDDK) in April, it was stated that the password-free transaction limit for contactless card payments was increased from 750 TL to 1,500 TL.
The contactless transaction limit, which was increased to 750 TL on July 1, 2022, will be increased to 1,500 TL after 2 years. Many banks notified their users about the issue via message.
