Hot Weather Increases Its Effect in Istanbul
With the increasing humidity in Istanbul, the hot weather has started to become even more oppressive. According to meteorological data, the heat wave that has been affecting the city throughout the week is felt especially at over 45 degrees during the afternoon hours.
Istanbulites Cool Off in the Sea
Istanbulites, who were sweltering from the hot weather, found a solution to cool off by swimming in the sea. Those who swam in the Üsküdar beach refreshed themselves in the cool waters of the Bosphorus, sunbathed on the beach and enjoyed the view. Those who walked along the beach tried to protect themselves from the sun with hats or umbrellas.
Those who wanted to spend the weekend tried to cool off by having picnics with their families and swimming in the sea. Caddebostan, Kartal and Büyükçekmece beaches were among the preferred spots by citizens. While some citizens had picnics in shaded areas, others cooled off by swimming in the sea.
Citizens Complain About Hot Weather
Some citizens living in Istanbul say they have difficulty breathing due to the extremely hot weather. Those who swim in the sea say they are pleased with the cleanliness and coolness of the water.
In Istanbul, where the heat continues to affect even at night, citizens are looking for ways to cool off. While some take two showers at night, those living in homes without air conditioning say they feel uncomfortable due to the heat.
