Congratulatory Message from Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz
In his message published on his social media account, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Happy Peace Operation, which was carried out by the glorious Turkish army to ensure the security of the Turkish Cypriots and to preserve peace. Yılmaz noted the following:
“The Cyprus Peace Operation, in addition to being a great military victory, has also taken its place in history as a symbol of the unity, solidarity and determination of a nation. On the 50th anniversary of the Cyprus Peace Operation, which brought peace to the island, I once again remember with mercy and gratitude each and every one of our martyrs who fought for the independence of the Turkish Cypriots and express my gratitude to our veterans.”
