In order to raise awareness in Bolu, two friends undertook the cleaning of mosque toilets. Although Bolu Municipality and mosque imams, as well as volunteer citizens, do this work from time to time, there may be a lack of cleanliness in the mosque toilets outside the city center.
Two friends named Mahmut Alan and Sinan Çetin took action to draw attention to this situation and set an example. Taking cleaning materials, the friends went to the dirty mosque toilets and cleaned the mosque toilets with the help of brushes, mops and surface cleaners.
The two friends, who cleaned the clean toilets in the city center as well as the toilets of distant mosques, also paid congratulatory visits to the neighborhood headmen.
Mahmut Alan:“We noticed that the toilets in mosques located a little away from the center are generally not clean. It is a pity that while we pray in the upper parts, the lower parts are not clean. Citizens complain about this, but the responsibility is ours. I prefer to clean the mosque toilets whenever I have the opportunity, with the cleaning materials I have.”
This example of behavior by Mahmut Alan and Sinan Çetin, who drew attention to the cleanliness of mosque toilets in Bolu, aims to raise awareness in their environment.
