Özel said, “I am warning those who say there will be no early elections: If there is no way to get by, there will be elections. We want an increase in the minimum wage at least as much as inflation. CHP Holds “We Cannot Get By” Rally in Kocaeli
The Republican People’s Party organized a “We Can’t Get By” rally in the Gebze district of Kocaeli. Speaking at the program, CHP leader Özgür Özel drew attention to the fact that citizens cannot get by and called on the government to hold early elections. Explaining his expectations for the minimum wage, he specifically emphasized that an increase should be made at least as much as inflation.

Özel said the following in his speech: “Everyone who fills this square says ‘We can’t make ends meet’. Unfortunately, unemployed people from all over Turkey, you are in this square on behalf of everyone. You are raising your voice. Everyone here has only one concern: Not being able to make ends meet. We will not stop until we get our rights. Inflation is crushing, no raises are coming. Shame on this system.”

The special continued as follows: “The streets and squares are ours. It is the worker’s right to receive his share of welfare. No, don’t ask for patience when it suits you. This is my warning to those who say there will be no early elections: If there is no livelihood, there will be elections.” and indicated that they stand with farmers and laborers. Demanding a fair tax system, specifically emphasized that the minimum wage should be increased at least as much as inflation.
