Chinese automaker SWM aims to establish a strong presence in the Turkish market. Italian SWM Motor, operating under the Shineray Group, will establish a large production facility in Turkey in 2023. The facility, which is planned to be operational by the end of 2023, will have an annual production capacity of more than 50,000 vehicles.
Represented in Turkey by ATMO Group, SWM Motor has identified the Turkish market as one of the centers of its global growth strategy. The company’s CEO Anton Chernov made the following statements about the investment plan in Turkey: “The production facility will not only meet the needs of the Turkish market, but will also export to the Balkan countries and other markets in the EU region. Chernov also stated that SWM will manufacture cars and commercial vehicles in Turkey. He said that they will manufacture various commercial vehicles as well as modern hybrid and electric vehicles.
SWM Motor Turkey is rapidly expanding its vehicle models that appeal to Turkish consumers. Following the G01, G01F, G03F and electric light commercial X30L EV models, it launched its new D-SUV model called G05 in June.

SWM Turkey Commercial Director Burak Azmanoğlu said the following about the interest in the brand and customer satisfaction in Turkey: “Our first batch of vehicles are on the roads across Turkey and customer feedback is quite positive. We have taken important steps to strengthen our brand image in Turkey. Our aim is to continue to offer high-quality and affordable SUV models to Turkish customers.”
