The Chinese Coast Guard provided aid to two injured Filipino fishermen in the South China Sea, in the waters adjacent to the Huangyan Dao Islands of China. The incident occurred on Saturday.
According to Chinese Coast Guard officials, Filipino fishermen were injured and needed help when the engine on their boat exploded. Upon receiving the report, two ships belonging to the Chinese Coast Guard patrolling the area quickly took action and reached the area where the fishermen were located.
The Chinese Coast Guard team approached the boat carrying the injured fishermen and launched a lifeboat. They also provided the fishermen with buoys and life jackets.
After the aid operation, the Chinese Coast Guard informed the Philippine authorities about the incident. It was reported that the Philippine boat sent a message of thanks to China.
According to reports from the South China Sea by Xinhua News Agency reporters, the relief operation was carried out successfully.
