The Cherry Run held in the Gulf was the scene of exciting moments. The run, which was held within the scope of the 50th Golden Cherry Festival this year, was held in 3 different categories: “Children”, “People” and “10 Kilometer”.
Children’s Run and Fun
The Children’s Run was held on the first day of the Cherry Run. Children from different age groups participated in the run that started at the Gulf Race Track. After the run, which was started by Mayor Şener Söğüt, the children gathered together and certificates and medals were presented to the participants. The day, which continued with fun activities, was an unforgettable experience for the children.
10 Kilometer Race and Public Run
On the second day of the Cherry Run, a 10-kilometer race and a public run were held. Approximately 350 athletes participated in the 10-kilometer race, which was started by Mayor Söğüt. The athletes, who took a lap around the race track, completed the course by running from Tütünçiftlik Beach to Derince Beach. Then, a 1.5-kilometer public run was held and the participants ran enthusiastically.

Speaking after the public run, President Söğüt said, “We are celebrating the 50th Golden Cherry Festival. We will repeat the Cherry Run, which we organized for the first time this year, every year. It makes us happy to see the enthusiasm of our athletes and participants.”
