Drivers Kemal Tekdaş and Bedri Yürüyatan, who were injured in the accident, were taken to Aksaray Training and Research Hospital by ambulance. Tekdaş, who was trapped in the vehicle, was rescued with the intensive intervention of firefighters. The injured drivers were taken to hospital for treatment.
After the accident, the truck driver explained how the incident happened as follows: “While I was waiting at the red light, the truck at the back could not stop and hit me. Then, it hit the tanker in front of me and a pileup occurred.”
Police teams have launched a detailed investigation into the accident. It was reported that the images of the accident will be examined and the necessary measures will be taken to restore traffic flow.
