Terme Automobile Dealers Association President Ayhan Yılmaz emphasized the importance of the district in the commercial vehicle market and said, “We have been operating in this sector for approximately 35 years. Terme stands out as the only place in Turkey that sells well-maintained vehicles, especially in the minibus, pickup and panel van vehicle sector. This situation also contributes to the vitality of our industry. After 1985, during the times when buying and selling cars became difficult, Terme reached its current position with the confidence it gave to the outside world. “With our 150 dealerships and an average vehicle capacity of 1,500, we have become a well-known place in the commercial vehicle sector in our country.”
“While We Sell Vehicles to Those Coming from 81 Provinces, We Also Go to All 81 Provinces and Buy Vehicles”
Ayhan Yılmaz, stating that they are leading the commercial vehicle market in Turkey, said, “People from all 81 provinces of our country come here, and we can buy vehicles from all over Turkey. Although our sales have decreased a little due to the economic crisis and high credits, we have a sales process that is slowly continuing. However, we can only use a small part of our current capacity.”
Yilmaz also added, “Our association has started to work on creating a car showroom site by establishing a new cooperative with the showroom owners in Terme. We have purchased an area of approximately 65-70 acres for this purpose. We will include this area in the site development process together with the zoning applications. “I believe that we will provide Terme with a site that reflects Turkey’s vision in the upcoming period.”
In Terme, the last district on the eastern side of Samsun, the vehicles for sale lined up along the road attract the attention of millions of drivers and passengers who use the Black Sea Coastal Road every day. This reinforces Terme’s position as a commercial vehicle center and makes significant contributions to the regional economy.
