According to a statement from the press service of the Russian intelligence agency FSB, it was stated that the suspect was caught in Bodrum with the joint work of the FSB with the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs, with the help of the special services of the Republic of Turkey and law enforcement forces. The statement included the following statement: “Russian citizen Yevgeniy Serebryakov, born in 1995, who was involved in a car bombing north of Moscow on July 24, 2024, and is on the international wanted list, was brought to Russia on July 26, 2024 .”

In the video shared with the statement, Serebryakov was seen using the phrase, “I contacted Ukrainian intelligence in February 2023 to cooperate” during his first interrogation.
