Mustafa Atınç continues a family tradition that learned this craft from his grandfather. Atınç took over the blacksmithing profession from his father and has been continuing the same passion for 50 years. In addition to products such as axes, pickaxes, crows and sickles, he can masterfully produce 40 different materials.

Atınç states that his profession is in danger of extinction. Stating that it has become difficult to continue this tradition with the advancement of technology, Atınç says, “I want to continue my profession, but my children do not do this job. Although I make an effort to continue this profession, the younger generations are “no longer willing to continue this tradition.”

Atınç says that thanks to blacksmithing, he was able to send his four children to university and support his family through this profession. However, he is worried because the profession is not in demand today and the sales of the products are decreasing.
