Büyük Birlik Partisi (BBP) Genel Başkanı Destici: Güreşler Türk Kültürünü ve Kimliğini Yaşatıyor

In his speech at the “Selman Dede Commemoration and Traditional Oil Wrestling Festival” organized by Hendek Municipality, Grand Unity Party (BBP) Chairman Mustafa Destici congratulated the wrestlers and the audience, emphasizing that wrestling keeps Turkish culture and identity alive.

Destici stated that wrestling is not only a sport but also represents a historical tradition, drawing attention to the importance of traditional sports. He also stated that the love for the Turkish flag is instilled in young people through such organizations.

Chairman Destici expressed the following: “Wrestling also allows us to keep our faith alive. The love for our red flag with crescent and stars, which represents the blood of our martyrs and our faith and independence, is instilled in the youth through such organizations. We have real children who will stand by the State of the Republic of Turkey and the Turkish nation. We do not make anyone a citizen of the Republic of Turkey by force.”

AK Party Deputy Ali İnci: Wrestling Champions Will Be Given House and Vehicle Awards

AK Party Sakarya Deputy Ali İnci, stating that he was also a wrestler in the past, emphasized Hendek’s success in wrestling. İnci announced that they will give a house and a vehicle as a prize to the wrestlers who are world and European champions.

MP İnci said the following: “We will give a house to the world champion. I hereby declare that we will give a car to the European champion. We will give both to a wrestler from Hendek who is an Olympic champion.”

Hendek Belediye Başkanı Püsküllü: Güreş Şenliği Devam Edecek

Hendek Mayor İrfan Püsküllü stated that he was happy to organize Selman Dede Wrestling and stated that they will continue to develop it further in the coming years.

Mayor Püsküllü also said that children’s circumcision ceremonies and an agricultural fair for farmers were organized within the scope of the event.

Agalik Tender and Baspehlivan Wrestling

Businessman Faruk Koç, who won the ağa tender held within the scope of the event with 1 million liras, took over the ağa. In the head wrestler wrestling, a tough fight took place between Süleyman Aykırı from Hendek and Mustafa Arslan from Kocaeli and Mustafa Arslan became the head wrestler.

Medals and cups were given to the athletes who won in the wrestling competitions.
