The Aydın Provincial Gendarmerie Command continues its work on drug sales and use. Most recently, significant successes have been achieved as a result of operations carried out under the coordination of the Nazilli Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office.

- As a result of the 4-month follow-up study, it was determined that 6 suspects committed the crime of Organized Drug Trafficking.
- During the operations, two members of the criminal organization were arrested and sent to prison.
- A second operation was carried out to capture the other organization leader and members, and simultaneous operations were carried out at 14 separate addresses belonging to 4 suspects.
- During the searches, 620 grams of methamphetamine, 54 grams of cannabis, 1 gun, 3 pieces of drug paraphernalia and 7 cell phones were seized.
- A total of 7 suspects have been detained and the judicial process is ongoing.
Importance of the Operation
These operations dealt a major blow to the criminal organisations involved in drug trafficking and neutralised the elements that harmed society. Aydın Provincial Gendarmerie Command will continue its work with determination to ensure public peace and security.
