Award Ceremony Held in Istanbul
The ceremony held in Istanbul was attended by Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the İlim Yayma Foundation Necmettin Bilal Erdoğan and Istanbul Provincial Director of National Education Murat Mücahit Yentür. The program began with the poem ‘Palestine Elegy’ by Yusuf Eren İnan, who won first place in the ‘Exam’ category.
They Should Stand With The Oppressed
In a speech made on the anniversary of July 15, Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin said, “If the treacherous coup attempt of July 15 had been successful, we would probably be faced with a Turkey whose will have been taken away like in Gaza today . We want our children to embrace the values of this country when the future, democracy and independence of the country are in danger. The Education Model will ensure that the youth are raised with an important consciousness. “We want the youth of the Republic of Turkey to embrace the oppressed nations that are being oppressed, no matter where they are in the world.”
Speaking on this issue, Bilal Erdoğan said, “We must ensure that every child growing up in our country feels that they have an obligation to play a role in ending oppression in the world.”
