Aunt Safiye Placed in Nursing Home
Aunt Safiye, who has 1 child and 2 grandchildren, was placed in a nursing home by patient transport ambulance. Neighborhood Headman Tuncay Özel stated that Aunt Safiye’s cleaning and meals were done and said that the old woman would now receive the necessary care.
Statement from Grandson
Ismail Batur, grandson of Auntie Safiye, stated that his grandmother Safiye did not want to stay with him, but wanted to live in her own house, but was placed in a nursing home due to health problems. Batur stated that the help provided by the muhtar’s office and the municipality was insufficient for his grandmother Safiye not to be alone and to receive the necessary care.
