Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan Visited Margara Border Gate

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan visited the Margara Border Gate on the Armenia-Turkey border during his working visit to the Armavir Region. Pashinyan, who shared on his social media account, announced that the Margara Border Gate on the Armenian side of the border was modernized with a project worth 1 billion drams (approximately 2 million 575 thousand dollars).

The Margara Border Gate was temporarily opened for the passage of humanitarian aid in February 2023 following the Kahramanmaraş earthquakes that occurred on February 6, 2023, following the closure of the Turkey-Armenia border. The border was closed in 1993 due to Armenia’s occupation of Azerbaijani territory.
