Ali Yiğit was elected as the new president of the Hakkari Journalists Association. The Hakkari Journalists Association (HGC), founded on March 1, 2021, held its second ordinary general assembly. The congress was held at the association office and attended by HGC Founding President Hakan Taş, HGC’s current President Mehmet Özkan, and the association’s management and members.
At the congress, the activity and financial reports of the previous period were read and discharged. Following the expression of wishes and desires, Ali Yiğit was elected as the Chairman of the HGC Board of Directors. Mehmet Özkan was elected as the Vice Chairman, Zeki Dara as the Secretary General, Serkan Besi as the Treasurer and Hamza Gündüz as the Board of Directors member.
Mehmet Özkan, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Hakkari Journalists Association, who handed over the duty, wished success to the new chairman Ali Yiğit in his duty. In his speech after the assembly, Ali Yiğit said, “I have been elected as the chairman of our association, which brings together our journalist friends in the center and districts under one roof in 2024. We have not bowed or bent under any circumstances. In short, I would like to thank all my friends on the boards who gave me this authority. I also wish success to the previous Chairman Mehmet Özkan in his new duty.”
Founding President Hakan Taş wished success to the new management and offered his support.
