The forest fire that broke out in Lara, one of the tourist regions of Antalya, is being fought by land and air teams. The fact that the fire is close to the sea allows for rapid and effective intervention. Helicopters are fighting the flames by taking water 200 meters from the sea.
In addition to teams from the Forestry Regional Directorate, Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Fire Department and Antalya Police Department teams are also providing support to the fire that broke out for an unknown reason in the Lara tourism region in the Muratpaşa district. Shopkeepers and holidaymakers in the region are also fighting the fire with water canisters, fire extinguishers and hoses.
Due to the proximity of the forested area to the airport, air interventions are being carried out in coordination with the airport. Teams are working hard to bring the fire under control.
