Accident Details
The accident took place at around 21:30 on Bakır Street in Yavuz Sultan Neighborhood of Körfez district. The light commercial vehicle with the license plate 58 ZA 222, driven by Ahmet A., was left hanging on the edge of a cliff approximately 20 meters high after the driver lost control of the steering wheel.
The driver lost his balance and fell off the cliff while trying to get out of his vehicle. Citizens in the area who saw the incident immediately reported the situation to the authorities. Fire, health and police teams were quickly dispatched to the scene upon notification.
Fire crews made great efforts to remove the driver from where he fell. As a result of the successful efforts of the teams, the driver was handed over to the medical teams. After the first intervention at the scene, the injured driver was taken to Derince Education and Research Hospital by ambulance.
After the accident, the vehicle was removed from its location with the help of a tow truck. A large-scale investigation has been launched regarding the incident.
