According to the information obtained by the AA correspondent, the newly prepared draft resolution emphasizes that Israel’s occupation of Palestinian lands is illegal within the framework of international law, including the decisions of the International Court of Justice (ICJ) and the UN Security Council (UNSC). ). In this draft, it is pointed out that the settlement areas of the occupying Israel are also a violation of international law, and it is stated that the Palestinian people have the right to self-determination in accordance with the United Nations (UN) Charter.

In the draft resolution, it is reminding that the UN has “permanent responsibility until the solution of the Palestine problem is achieved” and it is clearly stated that the occupation launched by Israel in 1967 must be ended immediately.

In this draft resolution, “Israel is requested to end its illegal presence in the occupied Palestinian territory without further delay and to do so within 12 months after the adoption of the resolution.” The statement is included. The bill also points out that Israel must compensate for the damage it has caused in the occupied Palestinian territories. Compensation and International Mechanisms

The draft resolution condemns Israel’s violation of UN resolutions and emphasizes that Israel should be held responsible for the crimes it commits in the occupied Palestinian territories. While it is stated that the damage and losses caused by Israel should be compensated, it is requested that an international mechanism be established within this framework.

In addition, a conference is requested to be held based on the principle of “protection of civilians in time of war” included in the Geneva Convention. Accordingly, a call is made to Switzerland to hold the conference in question within 6 months.
