Sacrifice Shares Donated for Gaza Were Deducted in Egypt
The sacrificial shares donated by philanthropists to support Gaza were cut in Egypt during Eid al-Adha. Since the border gates with Gaza were closed, the sacrificed meat was carefully packaged and stored in cold storages rented by the Turkish Religious Foundation (TDV). The foundation, which has so far sent 380 tons of sacrificial meat to Gaza through a partner organization, delivered 140 more tons of meat today, making a total of 520 tons of meat shipped to Gaza.
Transportation with Cold Storage Trucks
TDV General Manager Izani Turan, in his statement to the AA correspondent, stated that the sacrificial animals donated for Gaza were slaughtered and the obligation of sacrifice was fulfilled. Stating that they completed the last shipment of 28 thousand shares slaughtered in Egypt, Turan said, “To date, we have delivered 380 tons of the 520 tons of meat entrusted to our nation to Gaza. We sent the remaining 140 tons today. Thus, “We have fulfilled our promise to our nation.” he said
Israel’s Border Closure and Aid Process
Stating that they could not deliver the meat to the region for a while due to Israel closing the border gates, Turan said, “We packaged around 1.5-2 kilograms of minced meat and kept it in cold storage. We will deliver it to Gaza in “a perfect, complete and intact way with cold storage trucks” conveyed his information. He stated that while they had previously sent their aid through the Rafah Border Gate, after Israel closed the border gates, they started to deliver aid to the region through the Kerem Abu Salam Gate, through a partner organization accredited to the United Nations.
Daily Truck Shipment and Information
Stating that 20-25 trucks enter Gaza daily through the Kerem Abu Selam Gate, Turan said that they had the opportunity to deliver aid to Gaza with these trucks. He emphasized that they will inform the partners with videos and photos after the distribution of the meat shipped to Gaza.
Total Aid Amount and Highlighted Message
Turan stated that they have provided 480 million liras of aid to Gaza so far, including sacrificed meat. “The size or smallness of the aid is not important here. We say, ‘Even if the whole world remains silent, we will not remain silent, we will stand by Gaza.’ “This is indispensable for us and a part of our faith and belief. “Wherever there is an oppressed or victimized person, we will stand by them.” he said.
