Ayşenur Eygi’s Funeral and Testimonies
Ayşenur Eygi’s body is kept in Rafidiye Hospital in the West Bank city of Nablus. While international solidarity activists, Palestinian official representatives and the public gathered at the hospital for the official and military funeral ceremony, it is reported that technical preparations for the funeral are continuing.

- A Secret Place:“We retreated down the hill and took shelter there by the roadside. About 200 meters away, there were Israeli soldiers on the roof of a Palestinian’s house. We were standing in an olive grove by the roadside. My friend Ayşenur was standing under the olive tree a little behind me.”
Emphasizing that they were clearly visible to Israeli soldiers, Mariam said, “We were just standing there, doing nothing. Suddenly, I heard two shots, one of which hit a metal object. Afterwards, my friends called me ‘Mariam’. Ayşenur was “unconscious under a tree.” “I saw blood coming from his head. We immediately called more people, took him to the ambulance and brought him to Beyta Health Center and then to the hospital in Nablus. But despite all our efforts, we could not save him.”
Mariam stated that she met Ayşenur a few days before the attack and said that the Turkish activist Rachel CorrieHe stated that he is a member of the International Solidarity Movement, of which he is also a member. He expressed that Ayşenur was very excited to participate in this demonstration to support the struggle of the Palestinian people. “I shared his excitement, but I was very uneasy about the excessive force used by the Israeli army after the attack,” he said.
Mariam said that Palestinians have been suffering from various difficulties for many years, but October 7He stated that these problems increased even more afterwards. He added:
