Allows Time for a Ceasefire
The American New York Times brought forward the allegations that Iran postponed its retaliation plans during the ceasefire negotiations in Doha. According to information based on unnamed US, Iranian and Israeli officials, Iran chose to postpone the attacks it planned against Israel, which it defines as a terrorist state, in the negotiations that ended yesterday and will continue a week later. It is stated that this decision was taken to give mediators time for a ceasefire that would end the conflict in Gaza.
It is stated that the Tehran administration has given the mediators the necessary time to continue the ceasefire negotiations.
Talks Will Continue in Cairo
It was reported that senior American, Israeli, Egyptian and Qatari officials met in Doha yesterday and held their second day of talks. In the joint statement made at the end of the talks, it was emphasized that a “bridging proposal” was presented to both parties. Senior officials from these three governments are expected to meet again in Cairo by the end of next week.
