When is the Democratic National Convention?
The convention is set to take place from Monday, August 19, through Thursday, August 22.
Where will it be held?
This year, the convention will unfold across two significant venues in Chicago. The United Center, an iconic arena located on the city’s West Side, will be the stage for evening events, showcasing prime-time programming and speeches designed for a national audience. Meanwhile, McCormick Place, situated downtown near the scenic Lake Michigan, will host daytime proceedings, which will largely consist of official party business and various meetings.
Who can we expect to see?
The spotlight will shine brightly on Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota, who are anticipated to be the standout speakers of the convention. President Joe Biden is also expected to address the audience. However, the complete roster and schedule of speakers have yet to be unveiled. Both Ms. Harris’s campaign team and the Democratic National Convention committee have refrained from confirming any names beyond Ms. Harris and Mr. Walz as of now.
