Occupation Attacks in Palestine and Their Consequences
The Palestinian Ministry of Health shared important information about the attacks carried out by occupying Israeli soldiers and Israelis who usurped Palestinian lands since October 7, 2023. In this statement, the seriousness of the ongoing violence in the occupied West Bank and Jerusalem was emphasized.
The “large-scale” attacks carried out by the occupying Israeli army in the West Bank since August 28 have been concentrated especially in the Jenin, Tubas, Tulkerim and Hebron regions. As a result of these attacks, so far:
- 19 Palestinians were martyred in Jenin.
- 4 Palestinians lost their lives in Tubas.
- 7 Palestinians were martyred in Tulkerim.
- 3 Palestinians lost their lives in Hebron.
In total, 33 Palestinians were martyred and 130 people were injured. The fact that there were 7 children among the martyrs reveals how painful the situation was.
In addition, as a result of the attacks carried out by the occupying forces since October 7, 2023, a total of 685 Palestinians were martyred and 5,700 people were injured in the West Bank and Jerusalem. These data once again reveal the extent of the humanitarian crisis in the region.
On August 28, Israel announced that it had launched operations called “Summer Camps” against the refugee camps in the cities of Jenin, Tulkerim and Tubas. This is recorded as one of the most intense and comprehensive attacks since the Second Intifada in 2002.
