Penalties from the Professional Football Disciplinary Board
The Professional Football Disciplinary Board (PFDK) has penalized two coaches who were sent off in the exciting first week of the Super League. Kasımpaşa’s coach Sami Uğurlu and Eyüpspor’s coach Arda Turan faced the disciplinary board’s decisions. These decisions had a wide impact in the football world.
Kasımpaşa’s technical director Sami Uğurlu was given a total of 7-match ban due to his “insults and threats towards the match referee before and after the sending-off”, “unsportsmanlike conduct towards an opposing team member” and “failure to comply with the precautionary measures”. In addition to this penalty, it was noteworthy that the club was also given a fine of 230,250 TL.
On the other hand, Eyüpspor’s technical director Arda Turan was given a 1-match ban. In addition, Galatasaray and Beşiktaş, two of the leading clubs in the Super League, also received their share of the disciplinary board’s decisions and were each fined 168 thousand TL.
