Quran Recited for Martyrs in Istanbul
In a meaningful program organized by the Istanbul Governor’s Office, the martyrs who lost their lives during the War of Independence were commemorated. In the event held before Friday prayers, the Quran was read and prayers were said for the martyrs. Participants in this special commemoration program remembered the heroes who gave their lives for their homeland and once again expressed their debt of gratitude to them.
The Governor of Istanbul attended the event David Gul, Provincial Police Chief Zafer Aktasand Provincial Gendarmerie Commander Major General Yusuf Kenan TopcuImportant names such as also participated. These participations increased the meaning and importance of the event. A moment of silence was observed and prayers were said in memory of our martyrs.
