Hamas announced that the occupying Israeli army is responsible for the shooting at a United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (WFP) team on the Wadi Gaza bridge in the Gaza Strip on the evening of August 27. In a written statement, it said: “The WFP team that undertook the task of delivering aid was targeted in order to intimidate humanitarian organizations that were providing aid to our people who were subjected to genocide in the Gaza Strip.”The statement was given.
The statement underlined the crimes committed by the Israeli army against the Palestinian people and humanitarian aid workers in Gaza and called on the international community to stop Israel’s attacks on humanitarian organizations in Gaza and to hold Israeli officials accountable.
WFP, headquartered in Rome, said in a written statement yesterday: “On the evening of August 27, a WFP team located meters from an Israeli checkpoint on the Wadi Gaza bridge came under fire, following which personnel movement in Gaza was suspended until further notice.”He gave the information as follows.
The occupying Israeli army, which continues its violent attacks in the Gaza Strip, frequently targets many international aid organizations, especially the United Nations, thus making the humanitarian situation even more difficult.
