According to CBC News, 52 party staffers have published a letter to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, in which they say they will not be participating in the party’s by-election campaign due to “the government’s stance on Gaza.”

The employees used the following expressions in the letter: “We can no longer campaign for the party with peace of mind.”Moreover, They said they would not participate in party activities “until Israel is clearly condemned for its numerous war crimes and the genocidal rhetoric displayed by members of the Israeli Cabinet.”They stated.

In the letter, the staff also called for Canada to recognize the state of Palestine, as countries such as Norway, Spain and Ireland have done, in what is seen as a significant step towards strengthening Palestine’s status internationally.

The employees stated that the government should cancel the current arms export permits and demanded the development of a policy prohibiting the shipment of arms to Israel. In this context, they emphasized that the government should stop the shipment of arms to Israel through different routes through third countries.
