Hamas issued a written statement regarding the recent increase in attacks by the Israelis occupying Palestinian territories in the West Bank. The statement called on “our people in all cities of the West Bank to continue the conflict and social anger, to fight against the Jewish settlers in various ways and to mobilize all forms of resistance.”
It was also emphasized that today should be a “day of anger and mobilization.” The statement stated that Israel’s ongoing attacks on Palestinian lands were a reflection of the Israeli administration’s “criminal” policies against Palestinians. In this context, it was stated that the encouragement and protection provided by Israel to the attacks of the Israelis occupying Palestinian lands would never lead to Palestinians giving up their lands and rights.
Last night, Israelis occupying Palestinian territory raided the Wadi Rahhal town of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank and opened fire on Palestinian homes. One Palestinian was killed and three others were injured in the attack.
