Iran’s Response to European Countries

İran'dan Avrupa Ülkelerine Tepki

According to the official Iranian news agency IRNA, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Nasser Kenani responded to the joint statement by Germany, France and the UK. Kenani drew attention to the crimes against humanity committed by Israel in Gaza, saying: “Iran is determined to defend its national security. Western countries, especially Germany, France and the UK, are supporting the Zionist regime while they should be making effective efforts to stop Israel’s war crimes and genocide against the Palestinian people.”he said.

Kenani said the three countries’ calls on Iran to abandon its recognized rights are incompatible with international politics and law. an “impudent” attemptHe stated that such approaches would serve no purpose other than encouraging Israel, which is openly committing terrorist crimes in the region.

Kenani continued his statements as follows:

  • “If the countries mentioned (Britain, Germany and France) truly seek peace and stability in the region, they must firmly oppose the warmongering and adventurism of the apartheid and racist regime in Israel. They must immediately stop the war on Gaza and the horrific killing of the defenseless Palestinian people, women and children.”

On the other hand, in a joint written statement made yesterday by England, France, Germany, the USA and Italy, it was stated that Israel would continue to be supported in its defense against Iran, “We call on Iran to end its threats of military attack against Israel.”The statement also noted that such an attack would have serious consequences on regional security.
