Putin Convenes Security Council
Russian President Vladimir Putin convened an emergency Security Council meeting following Ukraine’s cross-border attacks on Russian territory. The important meeting discussed recent attacks in the Kursk region and ongoing conflicts on the border.
Putin, during the meeting, assessed the entry of Ukrainian troops into Russia, stressing that such actions must be stopped. He also stated that Russia would respond to Ukraine’s aggression, adding that attempts were being made to further destabilize the border region.
“Russian Forces Advance”
At the meeting, Putin said, “It is clear that Ukraine is trying to strengthen its negotiating position, but how can there be negotiations with people who are shooting at civilians?” Drawing attention to Ukraine’s efforts to slow down the Russian advance on the battlefield, Putin said, “Russian forces continue to advance along the front line.”
The Russian leader also highlighted Ukraine’s efforts to intimidate Russian society and undermine the country’s internal stability, stating that such tactics would be fruitless.
