March for Palestine Held in Bodrum
Hundreds of people, including Bodrum District Governor Mustafa Çit and Bodrum District Mufti İbrahim Kapancı, attended the march, which began in front of Tepecik Mosque and ended at Bodrum Municipality Square. In addition to Turkish and Palestinian flags, banners reading “Free Palestine”, “Free Jerusalem” and “Down with Israel” were carried during the march. expressed their support for the Palestinian people with the slogans “Down with Israel”, “Murderer Israel, get out of Palestine” and “Greetings to Jerusalem, continue the resistance”.
Reading the press release on behalf of the group, district preacher Orhan Özgözü stated that one of the greatest tragedies in human history is happening in Gaza and all of Palestine. Özgözü stated that there has been no safe place left for the Muslim Palestinian people for ten months, “Zionist bandits and Zionist terrorists, who have the support of the Western world and all the evil administrations that are enemies of Islam, are committing genocide against the Muslim Palestinian people without recognizing any borders, any international legal or moral rules.”he said.
Özgözü continued his speech as follows: “They are brutally and barbarically killing the Palestinian people, regardless of whether they are women, children, young people, elderly, sick or civilians, and condemning them to starvation. The number of our martyrs, most of whom are women and children, has reached one hundred thousand. There is thousands of evidence and hundreds of thousands of wounded.”
Following the speeches, participants prayed for the oppressed Palestinian people. The program ended with the distribution of morsels for the martyrs.
