The joint statement stated that there is a need to fill the remaining gaps in a way that meets the expectations of all parties and emphasized that the mediating countries are ready to assist in this regard. It was also announced that Israel and Hamas are invited to meet in Cairo or Doha on Wednesday and Thursday next week to fill the remaining gaps.

President Biden announced on May 31 that Israel had presented a new ceasefire proposal consisting of three stages. Although Biden stated that this proposal belonged to Israel, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, “We will continue our attacks in Gaza until the specified targets are achieved.”In his speech to the Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee of the House of Representatives on June 3, Netanyahu said, “There are significant gaps between what Israel is proposing and what Biden is proposing.”He made the following evaluations.
